After staring down the bookshelf last night for about five minutes trying to decide what book to begin before bed, I thumbed through Wake because it looked like a quick read. It WAS a quick read, but it was also a fantastic page-turner with a creative plot. Janie brings the reader into her world so we can all experience her fate: she sees others' dreams, learning often too much about them and their lives. She cannot escape this predicament, and one day discovers a surprise regarding her ability from someone quite unexpected. I recommend this to teens and adults looking for something quick, fun, and imaginative. The ending made me very excited to read Fade, the second book, which I will soon do.
