It was... it was okay. I've come to expect a lot more from Gaiman, and I crave his "voice" in the novels I read. This novel didn't "sound" very much like him, if that makes much sense. Here and there, I could see his influence, but I think this novel must have been mostly written by the co-author, Michael Reaves.

It's a really neat premise, though, and the afterword explains that this was initially a tv-series idea that Gaiman and Reaves had come up with together. I almost think it would work BETTER as a tv series - every episode a new dimension that the trans-dimensional "Joeys" travel to, with the cute and colorful Hue.

It was an enjoyable read, despite my missing Gaiman's voice in it. Very quick to read, too.
