it was amazing
bookshelves: demons-angels, hot-and-steamy, paranormal, urban-fantasy, vampires
Read in April, 2010

I was so exited for this book and so frustrated that the library didn't seem to be getting it in, that I finally caved and bought it.
And totally loved it. Nalini Singh's writing sucked me in from the first page. Raphael is sort of an uber-Alpha character which took some getting used to in the first book. There were parts of the first book where I honestly didn't want the pair getting together. But he grew on me and by the end of that first book I was hooked. There's still action in this book, but not quite as much as in the first. It's more of a building tension going on with Elena trying to learn to use her new body before the other archangels target her as Raphael's weakness. She's also getting nightmares that seem to be lost memories from when she was a child and her family was killed. Also the archangel Lijuan is rumored to be building an undead army which is trouble for everyone.
Also I have to say that this book was insanely HOT. H-O-T. I felt like I needed a fan or a cold shower throughout most of this book.
So basically I wasn't disappointed with this second book and don't know how I'm going to wait again for another sequel.

The Flooze And I just acted all resentful about someone thinking I only read smut. Lol.

new_user LOL! And what's wrong with smut? It's magically delicious.

Yey for smut! For you to be intimidated by peer pressure out of smut!??!!

::sigh of despair:: Nothing left to believe in.

The Flooze Ha ha!

I don't think anyone could manage to intimidate me out of smut. I am my own ho-ish institution.

Dry those eyes. All is still right with the world.

new_user *dashes tear* Whew! That was close!
