David Lebovitz is both an excellent pastry chef and a fun personality. The book covers love/hate relationship with the City of Paris - and adjusting to life as an expat - much like his blog. Indeed, I strongly suspect that these are stories carried over from his blog and modified for a book audience (there's a difference), as well as embellished with additional details. And the recipes. Oh my, the recipes.

If you're going to Paris soon, you'll want to read this and Julia Childs' "My Life in France" before you leave. By the end of them both, you can't wait until you're in France eating good food.
