there are many biographies like this -- story of disadvantaged american youth overcoming great obstacles to make the ivory tower. it's not a new story, but it's a story that must be told over and over again, simply to remind us of the obstacles that exist. the question left is not what happens to cedric jennings (we know that answer) but to the rest of his 100+ classmates faced with a bleak future.

excellent job illustrated the systemic oppression and racial discrimination still alive and kicking in american society.
