I'm always amazed at how some writers can open up worlds with so few worlds. This is a dark one, but with humor, and the ending knocks the wind out of you.

Mohammed I like your review because i felt the same, keep thinking the same.

How can Bruen open up worlds with so few words? How can he be so dark, have such a great humor ? And the ending....

Is this your only Jack Taylor and Bruen book so far ?

Kari Hilwig Thanks, Mohammed.

It is my first Jack Taylor book, but I have the follow up to this one, Priest, on hold at the library.

Have you read Dennis Lehane? Also very good, although much more descriptive and his books are set in the United States.

Mohammed Dennis Lehane is an fav of mine too. Along with Bruen,George Pelecanos who are big favs of mine.

Kari try to get hold of The Guards the first book like i say in my review its second best only to The Dramatist in the series so far.

Reading Jack Taylor like i have from the first book is emotionally powerful since the stories, characters, what is happening with Jack carries from the early books to the later ones.
