Bjorkman creates a truly exuberant protagonist, a theater geek without resorting to stereotypes of theater geekitude, who feels lost and insecure but combats it in the most extroverted and insane ways. Roz has a huge crush on her sister's boyfriend. Her sister has suddenly shut Roz out of her life. Roz finds a teen book about lesbians in her sisters room. She decides that 1. her sister is a lesbian. and 2. the best way to make her sister comfortable with coming out will be to pretend that she herself is a lesbian. Plus, the chance to really act!

The plot spools out with cheek and care both, and does wonderfully well at exploring Kinsey's scale through the view of sometimes semi-hysterical, sometimes really tender, impulsive, confused teenagers.]]>
