The first in a young adult series that held my attention all the way through. This first is probably the best - a young (female) orphan stows away on a British Navy ship disguised as a boy. We learn a lot about sailing and are constantly in suspense - we don't want her discovered! The entire series was a lot of fun - some were better than others. Wildly adventurous, Jacky can do just about anything - I want to be her when I grow up!
