Martha Are you telling me I should keep plugging through this book, Steve? It's really worth it?? :)

Steve It took me a long time too, and I can't really say there is any big payoff in the end. But I enjoyed the many, many ways the author found to find humor in circular reasoning. But you get a good taste of that at the beginning and in the middle of the book, so if you've read even a few chapters and it's still not doing anything for you, then no, there's probably no big reason to keep going.

I thought it had somewhat of a M*A*S*H feel. Finding humor in fundamentally dark and somewhat tragic situations.

To be honest, after four weeks when I was about 80% through the book, the movie showed up in my mailbox from Netflix--I watched it, then put the book away. Close enough. ;)

Martha Good to know. I got the MASH vibe, too, which is what kept me going as long as I did. Maybe I will just skip to the end and see how it all cones out!
