This book opens with Summerset, Eve's thorn in side and Roarke's father figure, falling down the stairs. I love that in this series, both lead characters are strong, yet dependent on each other. It's Roarke's turn to unravel as a nurse in a treatment center reveals unknown facts about his mother. Threaded through the character development is murder of the strange kind, and this time, Trueheart is in the crossfires.
