I picked up this collection of short stories because of a Shelf Talk recommendation. I put it back down after reading the first and last stories.

My literary "line in the sand" can be somewhat fluid--sometimes accepting books that at other times I would put down after one page... but for me, right now, this book crossed my line. Not for anything overt (well, okay, the teen girl being possessed by and/or having sex with a ghost in front of aforsaid teen's kid sister was a bit overt), but because of a creepy sense of wrongness that pervaded the stories. That, I think, was what the author intended. That, however, is not what I'm interested in reading.
