I liked this book well enough. I have to admit it was nice to have a YA undead book that wasn't about glittery vampires.

I was intrigued by the way humanity regressed back to pioneer/frontiersmen style living several generations after the zombie apocalypse. The descriptions were vivid but the characters (aside from the main) were not very well fleshed out.

As I neared the end of the book it was a little disconcerting to discover that I really disliked the main character. She was selfish to the point of destruction. I'm not sure if this was intentional, but it was effective.

Overall, though, it was a good read especially for Halloween. :-)
