** spoiler alert ** I literally went in to this book not having any clue what it was about. I didn't even read the back or a synopsis or anything and when I realized it was about 9/11, I knew it was going to be heartbreaking. And it was. But it was also a lot more than that. There were parts that were so funny, I was laughing out loud. Oskar is one of my new favorite characters of all time. Foer may be one of my new favorite authors(I want to read Everything is Illuminated over winter break). The way the story unfolded was so unique to me and I loved being along for the ride. I would recommend this book to anyone who was and still is affected by 9/11 or anyone who has ever lost someone they loved. I'm starting to gush...so I'll shut up now.
