I'm not much for graphic novels, but this was a quick read for an interesting autobiography. I enjoyed reading The Gardener and Imogene's Antlers to my children once upon a time when they were young. David Small is the illustrator of both books. Don't buy this bio. for your kids though without pre-reading it first yourself. Although David Small illustrated many children's books and this is a graphic novel, this bio. contains some mature content.

Cindy I loved reading Imogene's Antler's to the boys! I still have it and a cassette tape too. Just can't part with some of those old memories.

Lorra Walton My friend Susan has the book now. I'll lend it to you next if you want to read it. It's a quick read because of the graphic novel format. I never thought I would like a graphic novel, but this was a very interesting memoir.
