Yay for steampunk! Westerfeld defines it as "blending future and past." The illustrations are amazing. I want them on my walls. The story is fast-paced yet full of terrific characters. It reminded me a bit of Airborn by Kenneth Oppel because of the airships, but I liked this even better. It's different than his earlier works, but different in a good way.
