This had me giggling out loud as I read it. The Hippie Handbook has plenty of how-to's, sure: how to tie-die a t-shirt, how to do macrame, how to make "oregano" brownies, for example. But mostly it's just a humorous take on the hippie lifestyle, written by Chelsea Cain, who live a good part of her childhood on a hippie commune in the Midwest. Sure, you could read it in the bookstore, or get it from a library, and laugh at it without buying it. It really is just a piece of fluff. But it's funny fluff, and I may just buy a copy for a guaranteed laugh in the future.
