As I continued to attempt to read every bit of zombie literature I can get my hands on, I cam across Breathers. My wife read it before me and said that it grew on her.

I was pretty into it from the start, personally. The storyline is clever and interesting. The characters are entertaining. It's well-written and a quick read. And, it has zombies. What else can a person really look for in a read?

Sure, some of the jokes are overused. Something funny a few times, might not be funny twenty times. However, for a first time author, I am looking forward to seeing more of Browne's work. Improving on a fun and entertaining writing style could definitely put him in the runnings with Max Brooks and Christopher Moore.
