Read from February 09 to 10, 2012

A post-apocalyptic dystopian novel, this is for more than just young adults. It looks at human endurance, human nature, survival, and what can happen when governments gain too much power. After taking her sister’s place as a tribute at the annual Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen must to do everything in her power to not only stay alive but to properly play the game for her audience. Should she reveal her true emotions or do everything in her power to wear a pokerface? Can she properly play the role of a star-crossed lover? Could she possibly live up to that role with her real feelings?

I loved this book and could not put it down. It moved quickly and never lagged. The characters are unforgettable and the story is as heartbreaking as it is exciting. I don’t want to reveal too much because it is absolutely worth the read. I’m excited to take on the rest of trilogy.
