it was amazing

One of my favourite books. A gripping mystery that is divided between two voices, one an architect in the 18th century, the other a contemporary police detective trying to solve a series of murders. I read it on my own in an old house in Durham waiting for someone to come back from a football game. I was up until 2am and the book really spooked me. Ackroyd get the voices dead right in this one.
