I really enjoyed this book. Fatima, an elderly Lebanese-American woman, spends 1001 nights telling stories to Scheherazade while waiting for her death. Through her stories, we learn about Fatima and her family providing a wide reaching description of the different paths that Arab-American's lives can take during the late 20th century and the early 21st century.

In the end, her family comes together and finds out that the stories don't end in quite the way Fatima had thought they would.
