This is somewhat satirical social commentary with occasionally fascinating glimpses into our possible near-future. The device of the cloned "sisters" didn't completely work for me, although I did enjoy reading about Sonja's adventures in China of 2065 (the only nation-state still in existence) and her impromptu marriage to a nomad warrior. Ocasional triteness and an emotional distance kept this from being a really terrific book, but it was a quick and enjoyable read nonetheless. Go to William Gibson and Neal Stephenson for mind-blowing near-future SF.
