This book was surprisingly good. If you have some familiarity with the Old Testament in the Bible, this is quite a counterpoint.....The story of the some of the women from their perspectives. Pretty interesting.

Katy I read this book years ago, and I too liked it. Like you said, quite a counterpoint from the OT history we know.

Oh, wow, I am so glad you liked it, too. I mean, not only did the religious aspects of the women counterbalance the male stories but also they enriched our knowledge of the culture and daily lives of women of that time. I really loved reading it.
