I couldn’t tell you what really happened in this book, I’m pretty sure there was no plot because nothing significant ever happened from start to finish. I did not like this book at all. The only reason I finished was because I was nearly through, and the book itself was not a long read.

The book is comprised of horrible writing, simplified to the point it was hard to read smoothly, and cliched phrases that make me cringe.

Each character is nearly always drunk, tipsy, or has a drink in their hand and won’t do anything without mentioning alcohol first.

The characters are one dimensional and boring. I do not like Carmel, whose brooding, drunkenness, screwing around, and nonsensical existentialism turned me off completely]]>
