people who don't read the news regularly but want an idea of what is really going on

If you are like most Americans and don't read a daily newspaper because there is really no news in it, this book is for you. I actually do keep up with the news so I didn't read this from cover to cover, but I think it covers the bases - the big stories that got little or no coverage two years ago.
Project Censored is a project run out of Sonoma State that keeps up with an publishes the important stories we don't hear much or anything about. It is also a website, and they've just come out with Project Censored 2008, so it probably makes more sense to read that. If you read their top 25, you'll be better informed than 99% of the American public. At http://www.projectcensored.org/censor...

I looked at that website. Now I'm scared and I want you to read The Stupids Step Out to me while I eat kiwi slices and don't think about what is happening out in the world.
