I have been searching for this book quite some time ago. When i finally found it with quite a cheap price, i bought it directly. I started to read it about a month ago, or so, and i just finished it today. I'm seriously liking this book, because i think, this book helped me to think more and learn more about life. Short stories can sometimes induce you more than one long one.

Like the flowing River contains short stories that Coelho have submitted to some papers (if i'm not mistaken) and had his fans asked the stories to be compiled in a book and to publish it. It turned out that this book has blessed me more, because there are lots of stories with certain essence to think of. Moreover, i like the stories because i think the stories are more real rather than his other books (that are usually engaging magic in it). Like the Flowing River is more a down-to-earth book; lots of lessons to learn for sure.

This book has actually inspired me to do simple writing; just drop a line, then see how it ends. Compile it with others, and see how it link to each other. This book basically taught myself, personally, on how simple writing can do you much rather than try to write a whole bunch (when you have no idea what to write about).

One simple quote from many that i found in this book is:

"Simple desire to share something meant that we could enter the world of language without words, where everything is always clear, and there is no danger of being misinterpreted."

... as usual... deep and content...

Personally, i rate this book with 5 stars.
But of course, this is only my personal opinion.
