I can't rate this book because I didn't finish it. Maybe one day, but not this day. Anyways, I started this book for Lestat, I read a bunch of it for Lestat and then LESTAT DIED (I knew this was coming but hoped the book would keep its momentum going anyway) and YES, LOUIS, I GET IT LIFE IS HARD YOU ARE SAD GO HAVE DINNER WITH EDWARD CULLEN. You can be tormented sculpted perfection together. Or wait, no you can't. Because even Edward figured out how to be happy four books later or something. God I am so tired of moody, brooding vampires who have centuries to navel-gaze about their immortality and souls or lack thereof or whatever and isn't un-life hard. My sister says I should've just started with The Vampire Lestat. She is probably right! In the mean time, I will just watch the movie again and I will replay the part where Lestat says OH SHUT UP LOUIS over and over and over.

All this said, I hope to one day plow through the rest of it and I hope I love it when I do.
