Really 3.5 *

I enjoyed this anthology, though there was nothing outstanding therefore the lack of stars.

Shelly Laurenston's tale of Tully Smith, pack alpha and mayor of Smithville meeting and slowly falling in love with his witch Jamie Meacham, who didn't want a bloke at all, was pretty good. 4* though not as good as usual.

Cynthia Eden's In The Dark was 3 stars - Leopard shifter, Sadie James, working in a covert unit of the FBI thinks her lover and former partner died 2 years ago. He didn't. He turns up as a Vampire and after she tries to stake him, things settle down to hunting a rogue shifter, once again as partner. Liam certainly wants more. 3*

Last and certainly least for Sherrill Quinn's City of the Dead. I've read several of Sherrill's stories before but unfortunately this one didn't live up to her usual standards. Witch, Endora Falcon (Dori) teams up with human Detective Jake to track down her misguided brother, enlisting along the way Vampire Sabin. All this takes place in New Orleans. 2*
