Oish-kata-des! ("Delicious", for you non Japanese speakers). A thorough, engaging, eye-opening look at the hidden history (and present) of sushi, a massive industry both globalized and yet very personal and local, subject to the will of various captivating personalities. If you aren't a huge sushi-phile you might not care, but this book is aimed towards us sushi enthusiasts and does not talk down to us, nor does it disappoint. Much like sushi, it left me hungry for more.
