really liked it
bookshelves: historical-fiction, young-adult

If you like spunky gals who manage to manipulate their limiting environments, if you'd like to learn more about how real people lived long ago, this short novel will charm you as it educates. Though aimed at upper elementary/middle school, this novel about a lower class girl in the middle ages who learns to use her wits to raise herself and survive the challenging conditions of the time will leave you wanting the novel to continue.
