Really a continuation of the Series of Unfortunate Events, this "unauthorized autobiography" attempts to answer many questions one might have after reading the initial books. Expecting nothing less, of course the autobiography only leads to more questions.

Filled with diary excerpts, newspaper clippings, coded messages and mysterious photographs, each chapter is meant to answer a FAQ. Instead what occurs is a wild goosechase of a read, leaving one with more questions than one began with.

A quick and entertaining read, I realized I am more invested in the Baudelaire story than I ever wanted to admit; now that I am aware that there are "nonfiction" companion pieces I will probably find myself reading most of them. The way I look at it is that it is better than J.K. Rowling's attempt to create a Harry Potter encyclopedia now that her series is finished. At least Unfortunate Events continue, in a somewhat interesting manner.
