really liked it
bookshelves: adult

The descriptions of Mormon culture made me a little uncomfortable at first because they hit so close to home and seemed personal. The more I read, however, the more I loved the way Becky was so unapologetically who she was: A Mormon Housewife. I struggled with her relationship with Felix, but eventually came to accept it. The ending too, was at first, not what I wanted but upon reflection I realized how perfect it was. Bottom line, this book took me through so many emotions and got me wrapped up so fully in the character's lives, I couldn't stop thinking about it for days after finishing it. I even e-mailed Shannon Hale to thank her for writing the book.
