I really enjoyed my introduction into Discworld. I can't wait to continue reading the series and find out more about its quirks and magic.

Pratchett's writing style didn't toally immerse me in the characters' lives (in, say, the way JK Rowlin's did). But I did enjoy his totally imaginative, completely off-the-wall world where luggage can walk, wizards can see the 8th color, and dragons are fake (but yet real).

I enjoyed the plays on words that appeared throughout (Rimfall, Circumfence, the Big Bang Theory). I also really loved Prachett's descriptive phrases ("...it suddenly spoke in a voice like a claw being scraped across glass.")

I will definitely be reading more (especially since Kit so kindly loaned me the first 5 books in the series!).
