    <body><![CDATA[If you like food and food culture, these &quot;Best of...&quot; collections are something to have on the shelf.  I got this one from the library and I look forward to hunting previous editions down in used bookstores in the coming years.<br/><br/>The writing is...well...&quot;The Best of&quot; the food writing that I've been exposed to yet.  These articles and snippets are almost as good as cooking and eating.  They make you want to learn more, eat slower, and live with more intention.<br/><br/>I loved the stories about food politics, production, and the running of resturaunts.  I could have done without the section on Chef profiles (I don't really care about the people or fame...just the food and it's culture), but luckily I could just skip that section with no negative impact on the rest of the book.<br/><br/>I'd like to have this collection on my shelf and I plan to piece it together over time.  A great quick shot of foodie inspiration lies within.]]></body>
