About halfway through. Reads like a fusion of Burgess's 'Clockwork Orange' and Burroughs' 'Junkie' trying to disguise themselves as a modern take on a Jane Austin novel. Amis is as usual brutally funny. Not for the faint of heart.

Done. Amis really really hates these characters. Everyone takes some in this book. I liked it, but I can't say I really liked it. The ending seemed kind of unearned.
