Marsden's Tomorrow series concern the adventures of a group of Australian teenagers, and in particular one teenage girl, Ellie Linton, the narrator of the stories, who escape the invasion and takeover of their country as they are camping in the Outback. With each succeeding novel--this is the third I've read--I amazed at Marsden's ability to sustain his action-packed pace. In 'A Killing Frost,' he ups the ante as the kids launch a major sabotage attack, blowing up a large tanker ship. Beyond the adventure, Marsden gives us nuanced characters who grow and change in each episode and a primer on the Australian language. Highly recommended.
