I really enjoyed this book. The scholarship is impeccable. Goldberg takes a hard look at the political antecedents of today's liberal Left--and most of them would be sq1uirming in their seats if they did, too. He breaks down the traditional/historical "difference" between fascism and socialism and shows how the difference was mainly one of political expediency. I learned much that I didn't know about Italian Fascism and Nazism and their outgrowths throughout 20th century American politics.
