I'm of two minds of this book. It is reasonably well written and has some nice graphic imagery, but its depiction of ancient religious figures and beliefs and obvious Christian overtones leave me irritated and unhappy with the results.

I'd originally picked up the first 3 books of this series, but I don't see myself reading the rest at all. I don't like preachy Christians and the author is evidently now well known as an Atheist turned Catholic with a heavy handed approach to his writing and a lot of nastiness towards things that aren't Catholic.
