I just finished this and while I didn't like it as much as Uglies (the best in the series) it was better than Specials. I think one of the things I liked the most about it was that it was set in Japan and the characters didn't speak English and they talked about the differences between the cities. It's been awhile since I've read the others but I kinda got the impression from those that the whole world was the same. I liked that there were still some of the Rusty countries. Speaking of that, where did the others take place? I remember thinking they were in England because they used the term spaghetti bolganese and I didn't think we used that term in the States. But then I was reading some other reviews that said California . . . did it say this somewhere and I just forgot? Possible. Anyway, I like the series as a whole, but I'm feeling like it's run it's course. At least for me. Because it's gotten away from the idea that originally intrigued me, which was the plot of Uglies and Pretties. The rest of the story was good but I have to admit I was less interested in the plot and if I hadn't loved the first two so much I wouldn't have read it. And did Tally annoy anyone else? She just really bothered me this time . . .seemed holier than thou or something. I don't know.

Amelia The handbook to the series, "Bogus to Bubbly," has a map that shows where the first 3 books took place. It annoyed me that he never made it clear in the actual books where they were supposed to be...

Audrey It sort of hinted at that, because they were near the sea, and because of the city of "Diego" (obviously used to be San Diego). But yeah, other that that, it'd be hard to figure out without the handbook.
