The story is just as entertaining as other Jeeves and Wooster stories, but I really don't think the concept works well in the format of a full-length novel. All of the stories are essentially the same, which is fine and I love them, and they work well in shortish readable chunks. The longer format just means that the calamitous event that always befalls Bertie gets strung out into multiple barriers to his success, to the point that I found myself becoming quite bored with the story.

It still has all of the humour, and I laughed out loud many times, but I'd much rather have read 4 or 5 stories in the number of pages in which I read this one.
