I hope the fact that it took me so long doesn't make it seem like a bad book. I really enjoyed the look at the life lessons provided by the marines for Nate. From the beginning to the end, that seems to be the major guiding force that comes across. That everything that was instilled in him was to keep fellow marines, his brothers safe, but also the one thing he wasn't comfortable with - being willing to give up what matters most for the cause (his marines' lives).

Overall very good. I think coming off Generation Kill and into this, I was a bit tired of nonfiction and craving some good old fictional characters.
