it was amazing
bookshelves: favorites, short-stories, fiction
Read from July 26 to 29, 2010

I was caught between 4 and 5 stars on this one...went with five because of the author's ability to use words (granted, well-chosen ones) to absolutely nail modern human emotions. I now want to read more of her writing!

Elizabeth (Alaska) I'm so glad you, too, were captivated by this one. I have her Interpreter of Maladies on my shelf because I felt the same way.

Beth Thanks for the recommendation...I'll give Interpreter of Maladies a go!

Rose I love her writing as well!

Beth That's good to know! I feel like this author is actually living up to all the hype. Most times, I avoid the books that everyone is raving about because I'm often disappointed...happy to say, though, not in the case of Jhumpa Lahiri.
