I'll admit, I'm sort of addicted to this series. Even so, I'd probably still hungrily devour the next book even if I'd hated this one. And I wasn't far from it.

Okay, first, I have to say this, and no one hate me for saying this or anything. But I don't like dimitri. Okay, I said it. He always sort of irritated me, and him as a strigoi? Okay, at least he isn't so boring anymore, but really? Everything about him pissed me off.

And I used to love Rose, in fact I loved how so many of the characters were smart asses. Rose, Mason, Christian, Adrian. But I don't know, she was different, which I did expect, but I really missed the Rose in Vampire Academy and Frostbite. And by the end of Shadow Kiss, Lissa was annoying me too. Although she did improve on me in this one.

But really? I didn't like the actual plot. I didn't like the whole Avery thing, I didn't like the whole Dimitri situation. I just wanted someone to die. That might sound bloodthirsty or something, but everytime I was reading about Rose and Dimitri, I was thinking, omg-just hurry up. And Avery? I just didn't like her. But I'll admit that I enjoyed reading about Lissa's life a whole lot more than Rose's.

I'll also admit that this is JUST personal opinion, and most people I've spoken to like the storyline, but really, it just nagged at me. idk what it specifically was. And the only characters in this one that I actually liked were Christian and Adrian. But I've always loved those two the most.

But even with my problems with the plot and the characters, I'm still super-psyched for the next one. Definitely can't wait for Spirit Bound. I know I'll like it more that this one.
