I am trying to think of the best way to describe this series. It’s fun, quirky, and nothing like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. First off, the main character, Sookie Stackhouse, is a barmaid in Bon Temps, Louisiana (picture Mayberry, but a little bigger). She’s always been a little on the outside of things due to her disability. She’s a telepath and she’s considered crazy because no one really understands it.
