Bought this while on vacation. It's a rambling story about the German cinema, focusing on Lilly Nelly Aphrodite. If you're interested in the historical aspects of the development of cinema in turn-of-the-century Germany, you'll love this. For me it was like flipping through my neighbor's scrapbook; it holds a passing interest but I'm not likely to remember anything about it once I put it down and walk away. I gave up on this book about 100 pages from the end, skipped to the end, read the last two pages and called it good.
