Giles Blunt is a gorgeous writer. This is the first of a series of novels set in Northern Ontario featuring the detective John Cardinal a truly intriguing character with exceptional flaws and devils in his life. Blunt, who has written for Law and Order, knows his story telling and understands the use of language.
