I thought this was a creative book with a great premise. I liked the characters, very one-dimensional, however, but I think they were meant to be, as they came from books themselves, and were not supposed to be fleshed out characters with balances of good and evil. I think that Meggie is a strong female character, and I like the relationship she has with Mo, her father. I really enjoyed reading this book, and wanted to continue with the series as it unfolded, which I did.
