Yes, it's a romance, and I don't read romance books! But it is also very good historical fiction. The characters and the time period are very believable. The story is intriguing; of course I'm partial to time travel. The story grabbed me, and I'm looking forward to the 2nd book of the series. Oh yes, it is also R rated in parts.

Jan I bought 2 interesting looking books at a yard sale in Markleeville. Then upon closer inspection, I realized that I had purchased #5 and #6 of a 6 part series of romantic, time-traveling, historical novels. They got great reviews at Amazon so I decided to search for used copies of the rest of the set, and I have started on book #1.
