** spoiler alert ** I love this book and the authors way of writing that keeps you turning the pages to see whats going to happen next. PJ hasn't followed in the steps that her mother wanted her too. She lettered in highschool by playing football, she dated the boy who got her in trouble and fled her hometown after graduation in an agreement to keep her out of jail for arson which she didn't commit, but that her boyfriend Boone did. She returns after 10 years to the plea of help from her sister who is about to be remarried and needs someone to watch her 4yr old son while she is on her honeymoon. She comes home hoping not to be recognized and to do her job and then leave. However, she runs into her old boyfriend who wants her back and is now the new detective of the town and still trying to change everyones opinion of him and also to her mothers genuine love for her, and to her old best friend's husband being accused of murder. she becomes the one to take on the injustice of being named guilty without a trial and works to prove that their are other suspects in this case of collectors coins and money gone missing. She meets Jeremy, the retired navy seal/PI who has been hired by trudi to find evidence to free her husband of being framed and finds that she, PJ is being framed too. She helps solve the mystery and wins the heart of her nephew, Davy and believes in the love her mother has for her even if she isn't like her perfect, lawyer, mother like her sister.
