Doing a search for this book reveals that "Something Borrowed" is a really popular title for books about women who are hooking up with their best friend's partner!

I think I would have enjoyed this more if it didn't hit so close to home. After watching one too many friends longing for a guy who won't leave his girlfriend (he says he will, then he won't), I just spent the entire novel wanting to shake Rachel and say, "WAKE UP!!!"

I just can't buy the happy ending. Can't. I feel like it will all wind up awful in two months.

I think I might have been more OK with the book if it hadn't had a chapter at the end from the sequel, where we're asked to buy Darcy as a sympathetic character. Giffin did way too good a job of making me hate Darcy in this one for me to be interested in that book (or even able to believe it).
