Very timely urban stand alone fantasy (2009). Genetic modified soldiers considered property not people, escape to the walled 50 mile wide no-man's land between America and Mexico. Everyone left when this zone is created are invisible people with no rights or ability to contact anyone on the outside. All news, books and newspapers are banned.

A little to close to reality with the walled zone and a fake war used to contain Mexico. A young girl posing as Santa Olivia arises as a Zorro like resistance figure who has extra abilities from her GMO father. She at first seeks redress from the brutal American Military occupation but learns she inspires more than just justice.
